Southern California Earthquake Center
The Southern California Earthquake Center (SCEC) is an international research collaborative headquartered at the USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences. To understand earthquakes and their effects, SCEC coordinates a research program funded by the National Science Foundation and the U.S. Geological Survey. SCEC involves more than 500 academic and government researchers working at more than 50 institutions worldwide. Tom Jordan, University Professor and holder of the William M.
