Upon completing the AUT program, graduates may apply for various types of professional certification offered by organizations such as the ASE and ATRA. The CAP automotive program is designed to upgrade the technical competency and professionalism of the incoming dealership technician. The curriculum, designed by DaimlerChrysler Corporation and TSTC Waco, provides hand-on training on the latest vehicles, components, and instructional materials utilizing high-tech diagnostic equipment. In addition to your college training, you'll also be offered the opportunity to serve as an intern at a participating Chrysler, Dodge, or Jeep dealership, where you'll get on-site training under the direction of master technicians. You'll not only learn about repair procedures for DaimlerChrysler vehicles, but also dealership service operations. The Automotive Technology program, ranked the leader in post-secondary automotive education, features approximately $3 million worth of the latest equipment and laboratories.
